Sewer upgrade slated for Jonesville

The Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority (YVSA) announced that the Sewer Collection System Phase II Rehabilitation Project is about to start construction.

This project, totaling $1,382,709, consists of the following funding pieces:  

CWSRF-PF (Clean Water State Revolving Fund Principle Forgiveness) $525,000

CWSRF-0% (Clean Water State Revolving Fund 0% interest for 20 years) $525,000    

ARC (Appalachian Regional Commission, grant) $300,000     

YVSA – Capital Reserves $32,709

Surry County Government Awarded Grants for Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority Expansion to Weyerhaeuser Mill

The Surry County Economic Development Partnership announced today that Surry County has been awarded three grants totaling $755,900 for a sewer expansion project.  The grants will allow Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority (YVSA) to construct a sewer line extension project to serve the Weyerhaeuser Oriented Strand Board (OSB) facility in Elkin.
