What is the YVSA?
The YVSA stands for Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority. The YVSA was created to consolidate three existing wastewater treatment plant systems: Elkin, Jonesville, and East Wilkes High School (in Ronda).

Why has the YVSA established a minimum bill for sewer?
The YVSA must develop a set minimum bill to effectively cover the necessary funding to achieve compliance with state regulations in regards to achieving acceptable sewer service.

How has Jonesville’s flow been transferred under the Yadkin River?
Boring equipment (like the one on this page) was utilized to bore under the river and transfer Jonesville’s flow to the Regional Pump Station on Elkin’s side.
