FEMA Streambank Stabilization Project 139622

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) ENGINEERING SERVICES

 

The Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority has received a response from FEMA to provide grant funding for stream bank restoration and stabilization along the Yadkin River, Cobb Creek and Sandyberry Creek in Jonesville.

 

The Sewer Authority is seeking professional engineering services to develop and successfully receive approval for the required engineering/ecosystem restoration services, design, approval, bidding, construction observation and contract administration through the final certification of the project. 

 

Qualifications must be submitted by 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2020. Interested firms must respond in writing addressed to Nicole Johnston, Executive Director, 500 Hwy 268W, Elkin, NC 28621. Please limit your proposals to 15 typewritten pages or less if practical and provide three (3) copies of the RFQ. 

 

The Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority reserves the right to accept a firm that is most advantageous to the Authority. Selection will be made based on evaluation factors of past performance, experience with the project type and funding requirements, professional personnel, experience, and availability. Awards will be made to the responsible/qualified firm whose qualifications are most advantageous to the project.

If one or more acceptable engineering firms respond to this RFQ, the Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority intends to select a firm and authorize it to begin services on or before August 17, 2020. The selected firm will be required to complete the design phase services, including submission of permit applications if applicable, by December 31, 2020. The selected firm shall thereafter provide design revisions and construction phase services in a responsive manner, with the goal of achieving completion of the project construction by November 8, 2021.
